The Munising Visitors Bureau, or MVB, was formed in 1990. It is currently comprised of 17 member hotels and motels in the greater Munising area, totaling more than 750 rooms and 160 employees. Collectively, among all the member properties, the MVB represents approximately $15 million in annual revenue for our local economy through travel.

The MVB is the leading entity in marketing spending in the Munising/Pictured Rocks area. The MVB also focuses on promoting the area through co-marketing programs with community partners. Those partners include Pictured Rocks Cruises, Glass Bottom Shipwreck Tours, Pictured Rocks Kayaking, and Riptide Ride. In addition, the MVB contributes, both monetarily and through volunteerism, to various events in the area. These events include Pictured Rocks Days, the Munising Fourth of July Celebration, the Munising Car Show, Michigan Ice Fest, and Alger Parks & Rec Concerts in the Park.

The MVB also contributes to many local groups and organizations, again with both time and monetary donations. Some of those groups include Munising Bay Trail Network, Munising Bay Cruisers, Munising Hockey Association, Munising Public Schools, Friends of Valley Spur, Alger County SORVA, Alger Parks and Rec, Fourth of July Committee, Alger County Chamber of Commerce, Munising DDA, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and many other entities.
