The Chamber/GMBPCD is a county-wide partnership with a mission to promote business, economic development and tourism in Alger County. Some ways we accomplish this is by providing visitors with general and tourism information about our area; offering resources to individuals, families and businesses interested in relocating to Alger County; and working with economic initiatives and organizations which aid in visibility, promotion of our county, and business development. Our office also holds popular community events, including Rekindle the Spirit and Pictured Rocks Days

Promotional Assistance
Email Lists - Promotional email blasts can be sent to the membership listing. Also, we utilize a community email list that is quite extensive and includes several regional news contacts.
Social Media - We use Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts to help promote businesses, events and happenings in the area. Social media outlets are ever important these days, and we’re right on it. Want us to share something in particular? Let us know!
Visitor information guides - We send not only tourist info requests, but relocation requests, and economic development packets. Plus, we stock your business brochures at the Fuzzy Boyak Welcome Center (across from Subway) and at the lighthouse kiosk at Bay Shore Park (which is staffed in the summer months).
Our Website - Web presence enhancement is ongoing by search engine optimization, and we strive for top rankings in web browsing searches. Member businesses and organizations are listed with all applicable contact information, including a link to your own website, in the business directory.

The GMBPCD/Chamber is offering packages featuring our new website and the advertising opportunities. One of these options will include an internal custom web page, hosted by us. This offers a valuable option to members who are looking for a more feasible web presence.

Business-to-Business (B2B) Discounts
There are several B2B discounts already offered by companies such as Mazzali Insurance Agency and Alger General Agency. You can take advantage of these type of offers and offer some of your own!
Networking
We host special events like Pictured Rocks Days, Rekindle the Spirit, and our annual dinner, where we honor an Employer of the Year. Attending these events is beneficial as you have the opportunity to meet your fellow business owners, neighbors, and government officials.
Professional and Economic Development
We will collaborate with and support our area and businesses by formulating sound economic programs and policies that attract, maintain, and provide incentives to business and property owners. We also work to mobilize our area’s resources to create and design consistent marketing strategies to increase tourism by promoting silent/motorized sports and events. The GMBPCD works to enhance and open more lines of communication between public and private businesses, associations, agencies, and organizations.

Membership Options
Standard Membership is the base membership which, as always, includes your business contact information and link out to your existing website. Also included are existing business services such as social media announcements, networking events, and more. The cost for standard membership is your base membership rate.
Premium Membership provides enhanced presence and advertising. It offers a custom, SEO business profile page on the chamber website, additional social media postings along with our current social media promotions and a logo/photo advertisement on all primary pages. Cost for premium membership is the standard membership rate plus $99.

Membership Rates
NEW MEMBERSHIP: $165 for the first year. Add $99 if choosing Premium Membership
All new members are charged $165 as their base rate for the first year (plus $99 if the premium membership is chosen). Upon the first anniversary of your membership, you will be charged your base rate as determined below for renewal (plus $99 if the premium membership is chosen).
Additional businesses/locations owned by the same individual(s) receive a discounted base rate of $175 each.
Basic membership base rates are calculated by the combined number of employees and rental units (rooms, cabins, sites, etc.).
